Fernald’s Neck, Camden Hills State Park

Fernald’s Neck is a nature preserve that juts into Lake Megunticook near Camden, Maine. It is brief but lovely, with purple irises in summer, cliffs, majestic pines, and expensive waterfront homes. Also THE GREAT BOG, which has undoubtedly been the demise of many an errant local. I’m not sure we saw the Glacial Erratic, but I might take that as my stage name.

Dar surveyeth.

Such vibrant greens and blues.

Fungi!

Likin’ the lichen, as is my wont.

I would live here.

I bet the people who live in that house are very happy.
